Alaskan senator prays for cold

The Alaskan senator, who lost another attempt to open up the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge to oil and gas exploration, says he's praying for a harsh winter.

Ted Stevens said a cold winter would teach a lesson to the other senators who narrowly defeated his latest plan to open up the refuge on Wednesday.
Stevens has been trying to get permission for drilling in the area for the past 25 years...

..."You know I am praying for a cold, cold winter," he said. "To have those people now say they need fuel assistance. They want to pay the high price of fuel yet they are not willing to develop fuel."
See what I mean. These are the people who run our country
